Cari Brown earned a B.A. from Penn State and an MA from NYU. For the past 19 years, she has worked in school settings teaching music and performing arts to students in grades K-12.
I fully believe in the power of the arts. Along with helping develop self-expression and empathy, they assist in building confidence and community. As a teacher, I strive to harness the love of theater arts and help youth to find their voice through freedom of expression.

Improv for KidsGrades K-3

The first step to understanding what acting is all about! In this fun and supportive class, children use theater games, songs, storytelling and role-playing to stretch their imaginations and discover the endless creativity in themselves.

Give your imagination a blast of spontaneity! Improvisation works to increase a child's observation and concentration skills while freeing their imaginations! Students will learn the basic rules of improvisation and then put them to use playing performance games.

Cari has been writing music for over 20 years, both personally and professionally. She has written music for three musicals and two short films. One of her greatest joys is teaching the skill of songwriting to others. This workshop will focus on lyric writing, song structure, melody writing and more! You do not need to know how to play an instrument to sign up for this class. You also don’t need to have any prior experience, just a willingness to express yourself and create!

Back by popular demand! Join Ladybug Arts choreographer, Olivia Pettinelli, in this weekend intensive focused on musical theater dance styles and training set to the music of The Greatest Showman! This workshop is appropriate for beginners and dancers alike! Students will participate in a demo performance on Sunday. This is a great class for students interested in musical theater! Space is limited so sign up ASAP!

Olivia Pettinelli is a passionate choreographer with 12 years of dance experience, blending skill and creativity to craft compelling performances. Trained in numerous dance styles, including Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Modern, and Musical Theater, she brings a deep understanding of movement and storytelling to the stage. Olivia has led a dance workshop for Ladybug Arts, has experience teaching private dance lessons, and has created choreography for numerous productions and performers. She loves working with students of all ages, creating fun and engaging environments where learners can express themselves freely through movement. Known for her innovative approach and collaborative energy, Olivia specializes in blending traditional techniques with modern influences to captivate and inspire audiences everywhere.
